New to the farm: a social-skills and life-skills experience like no other!
Amber Rea, SLP, is excited to bring her experience and passion for community-based learning to Farm Day Friendz — a seasonal weekly life skills group hosted at Bella Terra Farms for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Designed for individuals who are ready to continue building independence, social communication, vocational and functional life skills, confidence, and responsibility, Farm Day Friendz provides a natural and supportive environment for learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences. The program offers opportunities to interact with animals, practice farm-based job skills, strengthen social communication, participate in sensory and regulation activities, develop functional life skills, and build teamwork and problem-solving skills—all while having fun. The goal is to help participants apply skills in real-world settings, develop meaningful relationships, build confidence, and experience a genuine sense of belonging and purpose within their community.
Amber Rea, MA, CCC-SLP
Amber Rea, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with more than 11 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and helping them develop meaningful communication, independence, and functional life skills. Throughout her career, Amber has been passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to build confidence, connect with others, discover their strengths, and actively participate in their communities.
Amber lives in Castle Rock, Colorado, with her husband, young daughter, and three rescue animals. As a proud Air Force wife, she values service, community, resilience, and creating opportunities for others to thrive. Her love of animals and the outdoors, combined with her professional experience, inspired her to create Farm Day Friendz as a place where participants can learn, grow, contribute, and celebrate their individual strengths.
